The Triangle Blocks Potholder features a nine patch design of two-color triangles. This easy loom weaving pattern is reversible and makes a great gift.
This is one of those nostalgic designs that looks like a quilt block. The alternating colored triangles create a fun look and texture. I think it feels a bit like a waffle knit.
This pattern contains written instructions and links to a weaving chart and fully-captioned tutorial videos showing the entire project for both right and left handed weavers.

Loom
⅜” potholder loom with 72 pegs.

Loops
36 cotton potholder loops (for 7” loom)
Color A: 18 loops (red)
Color B: 18 loops (light green)
Notions:
Weaving tool
Crochet hook to bind off
SKILL LEVEL Easy+
MEASUREMENTS About 5.5” x 5.5” (14 x 14 cm)
NOTES
This design uses two colors on both the warp (vertical) and the the weave (horizontal).
You place all the warp loops on the potholder loom first. Then you weave the horizontal loops according to the row instructions.
In the row instructions below, directions written in parentheses ( ) are repeated. The number of times to work the repeat are listed after the parentheses.

INSTRUCTIONS
Warp:
Place loops vertically (from top to bottom) on Pegs 1-18 as follows:
Pegs 1-3: Color A
Pegs 4-6: Color B
Pegs 7-9: Color A
Pegs 10-12: Color B
Pegs 13-15: Color A
Pegs 16-18: Color B
Weave:
Row 1: With B, weave (under 1, over 2, under 2, over 1) 3 times.
Row 2: With B, weave (under 2, over 3, under 1) 3 times.
Row 3: With B, weave (under 4, over 2) 3 times.
Row 4: With A, weave (over 2, under 1, over 1, under 2) 3 times.
Row 5: With A, weave (over 1, under 1, over 3, under 1) 3 times.
Row 6: With A, weave over 1. Weave (under 2, over 4) 2 times. Weave under 2, over 3.
Row 7-18: Rep Rows 1-6 twice.
Bind off using crochet hook.
