Stamen Stitch

I converted this pattern from the booklet 96 Stitches Knit Stitch Guide by Rita Weiss.
MATERIALS:
36 peg round loom (3/4″ C2C gauge)
(Hobby Lobby’s Yarnology 36 peg round knitting loom was used in sample).
YARN:
At most, 268 yards of #4 Worsted Weight yarn.
Loops & Threads Charisma Yarn color – The color True Red was used in sample.
NOTIONS:
Knitting tool
Scissors
Yarn Needle to weave in ends
GAUGE:
Multiples of 2 stitches and 4 rows on 4 x 4 inches swatch.
ABBREVIATIONS:
sl = slip stitch (skip)
TECHNIQUES:
True Knit Stitch (also called the reverse purl).
STAMEN STITCH:
Row 1: K all pegs
Row 2: K1, sl1, repeat all the way around
Row 3: K each peg
Row 4: sl1, K1, repeat all the way around
Stamen Stitch Hat

This hat is a simple ribbed brim with the main hat in the stamen stitch pattern.
Cast on:
Cast on 36 pegs, the e-wrap cast on was used in the sample however; use the cast on of your choice.
Rows 1-4: Follow the Stamen Stitch pattern outlined above until the desired length is reached.
Finish:
Bind Off:
Modified Gathered or Drawstring bind off.
Weave in ends.
