This list contains the most commonly used abbreviations and terms used in crochet patterns. This is not an exhaustive list and there may be terms on your pattern that are not included.

NOTE: This list uses U.S. crochet terminology. I’ve got a chart comparing US and UK crochet terms that can help you.

rnd(s) = round(s)
rsc = reverse single crochet

sc2tog = single crochet 2 together
