I know my needle knitters have been waiting for this one! I’m thrilled to tell you, your wait is over. The needle knit Quick Lace Scarf pattern is here. Just in time to celebrate Spring!
Diamonds are a girl’s best friend. Now you can drape yourself with diamonds and it will only cost you one skein of yarn. This scarf is embellished with a trellis of openwork diamonds. The seed stitch border grounds the lacy stockinette diamonds giving you a scarf that’s both cozy and delicate.
The large diamonds that run along the center of this scarf are half stockinette and half lace. Breaking up the texture of the diamonds gives this scarf as eye-catching design. It also gives the diamonds a firmer structure so it holds it shape better.
If you’ve never tried knitting lace this Easy+ pattern is simple to learn and follow. I’ve included both row by row instructions and a lace knitting chart as part of the pattern.
Be sure to check out my intro on How to Knit Lace that covers the details of reading a needle knit pattern and chart.
Following a chart is an excellent way to visualize exactly where you are in the pattern. It also lets you see how the pattern will look as you knit. In the video tutorial I’ll show how to knit the entire pattern including following the chart. I’m excited to get started. How about you?
I’ve also got a loom knit pattern for this scarf:
