NOTES

4/4RC: 4 over 4 Right Cable. Remove next 4 sts with cable needle and let hang to back of work (inside cozy/WS). Knit next 4 stitches making sure to draw up first stitch tighter. NExt work 4 sts held on cable needle in order. Knitting may be tight for next round/row but will ease up for next cable round. TIP: I used a letter J-shaped cable needle; take sts off with smaller end of J-hook then knit stitches in order using longer part of J-hook as you would from a needle.

NOTES

I-cord Loops: When knitting this cozy in a flat panel, you make the i-cord loop before casting on the rest of the panel.  At the end of the cozy, you make another i-cord loop before binding off. For the Tall size an additional i-cord loop is added along the edge after finishing the rest of the cozy.  Sew toggles or buttons on the opposite edge to line up with the i-cord loops.

Toggle Placement: I sewed my toggles right along the edge for a perfect fit on my coffee press.  If you need a tighter fit, feel free to sew them 1.5”-2” in from the edge.  Or do both so your coffee press cozy fits multiple sizes.

How to Knit I-cord Loops: This video shows how to make the loops at both the beginning and end of the pattern.

Linen Stitch (Flat Panel): Demonstrates the linen stitch pattern.

4 over 4 Right Cables: Shows how to work the 4/4 RC cable.  It was created for a different project so the row numbers mentioned in the video do not apply to this pattern.  However, the technique is the same.
