Zeppelins Newsboy Cap | Loom Knit

Zeppelins Newsboy Cap

With the upcoming birth of my first grandson, my daughter-in-law wanted a newsboy cap for him. I wanted it to be exactly what she wanted, so this is what I came up with.
Happy looming!! Granny T.

(This pattern is brought to you by our latest featured designer Tonya Vanoy. I think her Zeppelins Newsboy Cap looks similar to a baseball or kroner cap and is super cute! Thank you Tonya for sharing your loomy talents with us all. -Kristen Mangus)

Bind off last remaining peg (wrap peg, knit over, take loop off peg and pull working yarn through making a knot).

You have now finished 1 panel of your hat and will need to make 4 more!

When you are finished with all five panels you will need to seam them together, leaving the ‘seam’ exposed giving the ridge look running down the length of the hat. I seamed using a whip stitch from the back of the e-wrap, through both loops, on both both panels. Close the gap at the top. Set aside….(I sewed mine together so that the backside of the enwrap, which is actually a purl, would be left exposed).  (Editors notes: You now have the main portion of the Zeppelins Newsboy Cap completed.  It could be said you can stop here for a fun beanie with a propeller on top for Alice in Wonderland fans…LOL! Ok now you’ll add a bill and strap to actually complete to look of your Zeppelins Newsboy Cap).
